N-acetylcysteine for trichotillomana for an 11 year old

Has anyone heard of this or tried it? His psychologist had him on prozac with no result for over a year. New guy said to try N-acetylcysteine. Said it had good results. Bought some at health food store but had no specific dosage for children. Help, please!!
